On Friendship

It is hard to believe it is already mid April. So much has happened this year, I will try to bring you up to speed as briefly as I can~

Since my last post in November my daughter was offered a position in another state and it was such a quick thing that it seemed as though the only thing for me to do was to make the move with her. So, that is what I did, with much prayer for the transition.

We have found that true friends are AMAZING! They give you strength and direction when you seem to think you are to exhausted to even imagine you have any strength or direction. When you are only able to "go through the motions", your true friends are there to help and guide you and push you a little harder. So to "The Farmers",we are forever in your debt with our gratitude for your help with this move. Also I know many were in prayer for us and if physically able would have been there for us just as the Farmers were. So, in my heart, and in the heart of God, you were also there helping. For that I am just as thankful.

The heart of true friends, servanthood! Doing so without regard to ones self.
As I think on those I call Friend, I wonder if I reflect this to them.
Do I reflect the image of Christ,
Do I reflect the image of servanthood to those I call friend?
Do I put their needs above mine?
Do I seek out their need and provide to them in a manner that would not draw attention to myself?
Do I wash their feet?

In closing, I leave you this~
John13:34 & 35 (NIV Life App)
A new command I give you: "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. BY THIS ALL MEN WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER."
